BT grows in Brazil

March 31, 2011. BT enlarges his DATACENTER IN BRAZIL.

The data center offers Hortolandia Based Services Network Global Scale.

BT today announced the expansion of its data center in Hortolandia (Sao Paulo, Brazil), designed to meet the increasing demands of large organizations for virtualization and network-based services.

This expansion will allow services to BT's Virtual Data Center (VDC) available to its global customers by providing the concept of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS - with Infrastructure-as-a-Service). Demand for data center services grew in the region, as corporations increasingly seek to entrust their IT and telecommunications services in specialized partners.

Likewise, the concept of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is quickly becoming a trend in the market. Allows companies to pay only for the resources they actually use, accessing these resources through public networks, private or a combination of both.

The Hortolandia datacenter is located in the large teleport BT in Brazil, giving direct connectivity to BT's global IP backbone. This provides Internet services and IP satellite access, as well as national and international access to BT's global MPLS network with coverage in over 170 countries.
